I am a mother to two children, Ahmed and Maryam—my most precious treasures in this life. ❤️
My children lived through a war they played no part in starting. During it, they were deprived of the most basic rights of childhood: safety, a home, food, water, clean clothes, and even the toys that bring joy to a child's heart.
We were pulled from the rubble; my children were injured and endured fear, pain, and unimaginable hardship, all while children elsewhere in the world lived out their childhoods in safety, freedom, and comfort.
Now, they have grown a little, and each of them holds a small, well-deserved dream.
Maryam is six years old and has the right to an education, yet she lacks a schoolbag, stationery, and even clean clothes to wear to school.
Ahmed is four and is so excited to start kindergarten, but I cannot afford the fees.
We are currently staying temporarily with my husband's relatives; we have no home of our own, and the cost of living has far exceeded our means.
Sometimes my children cry because they simply want a small toy—something simple to make them feel like children just like any others... but even toys have become a dream beyond our reach.
That is why I am reaching out to you—not to ask for luxuries, but to give my children back a piece of the childhood that was stolen from them.
Please help us in any way you can so we can provide them with school supplies, clothing, and the simple things that bring a smile to their faces.
Every bit of help, no matter how small, means the world to us; for my daughter and son, it could mean an unforgettable moment of joy. May God richly reward whoever helps my children, grant them happiness, peace, and security, and record for them the reward of every smile they bring to their faces. ❤️
